Fundraising at HRR

Hospital Radio Reading is volunteer run, not for profit charity, so every penny really does counts! So our volunteers have been doing their bit to help raise funds for HRR this year! We’ve had special performances at local theatres, quizzes, bears being named, stalls at fetes and runners tackling great dist

ances all to keep us on air for the patients!

Jamie Lawes from our Thursday night team took on his first half marathon on the notoriously hilly Windsor route and made us proud by finis

hing with a smile and bringing in a fantastic amount of sponsorship! Whilst on the same weekend, more seasoned runner Louise Remenyi from the Saturday Lunchtime shift took on the Disneyland half marathon and 5k races back-to-back in fancy dress!

Meanwhile back at the Royal Berskshire Hospital Maria Walker successfully guessed the name of our oversized teddy bear – Rainbow! And in the

town centre there was much debating going on at the HRR Pub Quiz hosted by our very own local comedian Rhodders at Smoking Billy’s Barbeque!

And now you can get involved, by supporting us online with easyfundraising! And it’s absolutely free to do! It’s a really easy way to raise money for us – you just
