Where did all the popular music we all enjoy listening to come from? This show revisits the roots of much of the popular music we all hold so dear. In 1920 Mamie Smith recorded Crazy Blues cited as the first recorded blues song, from America it crossed the Atlantic influencing British bands such as the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Animals, Cream and so many more, these bands then returned the music to it’s spiritual home helping to revive the genre to a younger generation. This show is an hour of blues music covering over hundred years of music from old to modern blues. These shows are pre-recorded and in some cases are themed covering Blues harmonica players or Blues piano players. So join me and discover the music that helped to influence many of the great musicians that we listen to today.
